weeding-b-gone…

I said with indifference “Goodbye” to four of my Bayfield gardens this week. The oldest was established as a hospital garden when we were building CedarCliffe.  It was to be  a temporary sanctuary for my beautiful  peony patch situated in the front of  “Old” CedarCliffe.  Over the years it matured  into my nemesis as I added a massive collection of plantings.  I became an entrenched slave to its uncompromising weeds. This year I finally surrendered.  I finally accept the  simple truth that I cannot have “weedless” gardens in a Bayfield lawn of weeds.

Good-bye my beauties…
