Shinola-

Shinola: off shoot from Fossil; originated in Detroit.  Successfully introducing cool analog watches into a digital market.  They also sell cool bicycles and leather goods. The story goes:  “Shinola” earned its name accidently.  The founders were arguing what to call their new endeavor.  During a heated discussion it was spoken: “you don’t know sh-t from  Shinola”.  The company name was born.                                                   A “must visit”:  441 Canfield St.  Detroit USA
